My New Synthesizer: Korg iMS-20 for iPad?

Just spend about 2-3 hours listening to all kinds of synth demo’s (both old and new), and gotta say I’m disappointed. With progression of technology, most manufacturers (Yamaha and Roland) are lagging behind big time. What’s even worse? With their entire corporate staff hitting retire age, and the large percentage of babyboomers they are actually focusing at reliving the old Roland Jupiter days.

None of their products of the past 5 years had any new ingenuity, they are just trying to emulate analogue equipment with digital synths. There’s so much more possible. Korg set the pace by working together with Stephen Kay on the first implementation of Karma, the OASYS was cool, not sure about the M3 and Kronos. So let’s see what we can do with an iPad (besides Garageband). As June 2010 was the last time I did some proper due diligence on iPad synths. Based on a ton of video content I compiled this list of AppsQuick recap:
